It underscores the urgency to recognize the increasing vulnerabilities and risks of the growth of AI models.

Data and models affected by AI threats

Despite the global distribution of billions of AI models, on average only 54% manage to successfully move from testing to production. Whether the number is 54% or less than 75%, the risks of attacks on AI models cannot be ignored.

Approximately 60% of organizations believe they would not be able to identify critical threats without the use of advanced AI technologies. The recent release of the US Executive Order on AI is expected to design safer AI models. This should counter the rise of malicious actors.

Accelerated focus on prevention

Leaders must increase their focus on prevention. They have to take proactive measures to protect AI models from attacks, data breaches and unauthorized access. This includes techniques such as secure development and execution of AI models, encryption of sensitive data, implementation of robust authentication mechanisms, and monitoring of data flows with real-time risk detection methods. This is the only way companies can avoid data breaches, ransomware attacks and legal problems.
